Football Player
He was another college star quarterback who flopped in the NFL ranks.
He played on six different teams, with his stays lasting no longer then three years.
He spent the majority of his NFL career playing on weak teams.
He threw seven interceptions in a single game (2001).
He failed to establish himself as a starting quarterback on a mediocre Eagles team and on weak Browns and Lions teams.
His Heisman Trophy winning season was best known for BYU getting blown out 65-14 in the Holiday Bowl (1990).
He earned MVP honors in the Freedom Bowl after coming into the game as an injury replacement and leading BYU to a comeback victory (1988).
He left BYU holding various NCAA records in pass attempts, completions, passing yards, touchdown passes, total offense yardage, touchdown drives and passer rating percentage.
He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a result of his accolades at BYU.
He was a member of the inaugural re-established Browns team (1999).
He served as the backup to legendary quarterbacks Brett Favre and Steve Young.
He defied the odds by playing 14 seasons in the NFL, despite football pundits saying he was too small to make it.
