    (February 13, 1945-March 6, 2006)
    Born in New Orleans, Louisiana
Recorded the singles 'Groove Me' (1970) and 'Baby Let Me Kiss You' (1971)
He began singing in New Orleans bars before he was old enough to drink.
After his first album flopped (1965), he quit music to work at the post office.
'Baby Let Me Kiss You' was a clone of his first hit, down to the 'Unh! Sookie, sookie, now!' shouts in the intro.
He recorded the vocal for 'Groove Me' in one take.
He recorded 'Groove Me' at the same sessions where Jean Knight recorded her big hit, 'Mr. Big Stuff.'
'Groove Me' has been described as 'irresistibly funky.'
