Why he might be annoying:

He was a vegetarian.
He was born in an aristocratic family and to a lesbian mother.
He was expelled from Eton for running a gambling ring.
He was twice divorced and married three times.
Although he had many acting roles before and after 'The Avengers,' his most popular and recognized character will always be John Steed.

Why he might not be annoying:

His mother was the niece of a descendant of Robin Hood.
He served in the British Navy as an officer.
Along with Diana Rigg, he helped make 'The Avengers' a television classic and made a very big impression to the show's audiences.
He even lent out his voice in the 1998 movie version of 'The Avengers' with Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman.
His acting career lasted five decades.
He appeared with Chrissie Hynde in The Pretenders video 'Don't Get Me Wrong.'
