The Resume

    (August 28, 1984-January 10, 2016)
Born in Smithtown, Long Island, New York
Birth name is Michael James Galeota
1990s child actor, Disney Channel star
Best known for playing Nick Lighter in the Disney Channel original series 'The Jersey' (1999-2004)
Acted in 'Women and Men II: In Love There Are No Rules,' 'Secret Santa,' 'Bushwhacked,' 'Clubhouse Detectives,' 'Rattled,' 'Can't Be Heaven,' and 'Missing Brendan'
Found dead, by a friend, at his home in Glendale, California (Jan. 10, 2016)

Why he might be annoying:

His show was basically 'Quantum Leap' for kids.
His surname was hard to pronounce (Mickey G usually sufficed with friends).
His own CBS Saturday morning show, 'Bailey Kipper's P.O.V.' only lasted 13 episodes.
He shot 'Jersey' over a two-year period, between 1999-2001, but new episodes aired until 2004.
He did a bizarre 'Jersey' episode where he briefly enters the body of WNBA player Lisa Leslie.
He reportedly served jail time on a several occasions for violating his probation for alcohol-related incidents.

Why he might not be annoying:

He guest-starred on episodes of E.R. and Ally McBeal.
His friends described him as generous and down-to-earth.
He was a Disney star who never pursued a music career.
He looked like Bill and Judy Miller's son Brian on Still Standing.
He retired from acting in his late teens, giving up on what would have been a very promising career. He came of as a more natural than many of his 'Jersey' cast-mates.
After his retirement, he worked in commercial and residential real estate for several years.
He suffered from hypertension and diverticulitis, which is an inflammation of the digestive track.
A GoFundMe page was set up to meet the costs of his burial and funeral service.
Over $9,000 were raised in the first few hours. The largest donation came from an unknown donor who signed his name 'Shia L' (draw your own conclusions).
