Why he might be annoying:

    He was expelled from high school the day before his scheduled graduation.
    He was able to get into New York University because his father was a professor there.
    He was married three times, divorced twice.
    He said, ‘I have the dubious distinction of having been Elvis’ older brother and Pat Boone’s older brother in their first pictures.’
    He was best known for portraying a character whose name is never mentioned.

    He survived polio when he was ten.
    He performed in 54 USO-sponsored shows in three weeks for the troops in Vietnam (April, 1966).
    He won a number of competitions in horse cutting (an equestrian event requiring a horse and rider to separate a single cow from a herd and prevent it from returning to the herd).
    He maintained an active schedule of attending Western events and festivals until shortly before his death.
    He was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum (1991).
    He said, ‘I was able to accomplish just about everything I set out to do as an actor.’
