Why she might be annoying
Koalas are sometimes mistakenly considered a ursidae bear species.
She was sometimes confused with the koala Ely 'Lucky' Grills.
The firestorm she was caught in killed 15 other koalas in their special enclosure.
She suffered burns to over a third of her body from the firestorm.
For years her burn injuries caused her frequent pain, and she had difficulty living without regular support.
Her constant suffering led reserve authorities to euthanize her (July 2008).
Why she might not be annoying
She was found clinging to a burned tree six days after the firestorm, the only survivor in the reserve's koala enclosure.
After extensive intensive care, her survival and amount of years lived with her injuries were considered a miracle.
She was able to return to her Tidbinbilla reserve after rehabilitation, where she eventually had her own special enclosure.
She lived with her health issues to an unusually old age for a koala.
She became a symbol for Canberra's recovery from the January 2003 bush fires and an international celebrity.
She had her own fan club and was the subject of a Japanese children's book.
