Why he might be annoying:

    His interview with Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was seen as combatitive.
    In 1998, Pelley was picked up off his feet and physically thrown out of the Kremlin after shouting a question to then-President Bill Clinton during a conference with Russian leader Boris Yeltsin.
    His went gray early, making him look way older than he really was.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He has reported from the front lines in wars such as the Gulf War, War on Terror, and the Iraq War.
    David Zurawik of 'The Baltimore Sun' wrote in 2007, 'If there is a single face of the broadcast, it is now that of Pelley who has done several of the biggest interviews and stories.'
    He served on the board of directors of the International Rescue Committee.
    He was inducted into the Texas Tech University alumni Hall of Fame and served on the board of the university's School of Mass Communications.
