He took most of the credit for the Saints turnaround, despite the fact Jeff Blake started the majority of the games that season.
Fans would often flash signs that read 'Brooks and Done,' which was a rip-off of the country music group's name.

He earned notoriety for throwing the touchdown pass to Joe Horn, which led to Horn's infamous cell phone call celebration.
