She resembled Roseanna Arquette.
She is considered the Maggie Gyllenhaal and Parker Posey of the early 90's due to her work in independent films.
Initial reports of her death falsely suggested that she committed suicide.

Her husband found her dead in their apartment with a bed sheet around her neck and hanging from a shower rod.
The footprints between those found at the scene and those from her feet were mismatched enabling investigators to conclude that she was murdered; Diego Pillco, a construction worker, was charged after his confession was pulled out by the police.
In addition to being an actress, she also wrote and directed.
She was a Boston University graduate.
She left behind a husband and a three-year old daughter when she died.
