    (August 5, 1990- )
    Born in San Antonio, Texas
    Won the 2018 Masters Tournament
He was asked to leave the University of Georgia after two arrests for public intoxication. (His attempt, aided by his parents, to keep the school from finding out about the second bust, which had occurred off campus, did not help matters.)
In the book ‘Slaying the Tiger,’ author Shane Ryan claimed that Reed had also been accused of cheating in a qualifying tournament by trying to play the wrong ball after hitting his into the rough, and of stealing money and equipment from his teammates’ lockers.
When his new school, Augusta State, met Georgia in the NCAA title match, a group of his teammates told Reed’s upcoming opponent, Georgia’ Harris English, ‘We want to win the national title, but we hope you kick the shit out of Patrick Reed.’
He boasted that he was ‘one of the top five players in the world’ before he even played in a major.
After trash-talking Ryder Cup vice-captain Tiger Woods, Woods responded, ‘Don’t worry Patrick, you only need 74 more wins and 14 more majors.’
He is estranged from his parents and siblings to the point that they did not attend the 2018 Masters despite living in Augusta.
He led Augusta State to two NCAA titles (2010-11).
He was nicknamed ‘Captain America’ for his dominating play in the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup.
For his first two years on the PGA tour, his wife doubled as his caddy.
He said, ‘Once you’re successful, there’s going to be good things and bad things that people say, and, honestly, to me it doesn’t really matter.’
