The Resume

    (October 31, 1860-January 17, 1927)
    Born in Savannah, Georgia
Birth name was Juliette Magill Kinzie Gordon
Founded the Girl Scouts of the USA (March 12, 1912)

Why she might be annoying:

She made her niece Margaret the first registered member of the Girl Scouts even though Margaret did not attend the first meeting.
Girl Scout units were segregated by race.
She would trim her hat with carrots and parsley before going to a fashionable luncheon.
During a Scout board meeting, she stood on her head to show off the new Girl Scout shoes she was wearing.

Why she might not be annoying:

She lost most of the hearing in one ear from an infection when she was 25.
A year later at her wedding, a thrown grain of rice got stuck in her good ear; as it was removed, her eardrum was punctured, causing her to go completely deaf in that ear.
In his will, her husband left most of his money to his mistress.
During the Spanish-American War, she organized a hospital for wounded soldiers returning from Cuba.
