Enshrined in Pro Football Hall of Fame (1990)

Why he might be annoying:

Despite his size, he would run out of bounds rather than absorb a hit from a defender.
For being a big back, he was not a very good blocker.
He hung on too long and ended up finishing his career in Seattle, averaging 2.5 yards a carry in 1984.

Why he might not be annoying:

He caught 'The Immaculate Reception' (December 23, 1972).
In tribute to his maternal heritage, he was the hero of 'Franco's Italian Army'
In Super Bowl IX, he out-rushed the entire Viking team, 158-17.
He ran for 12,120 yards and 91 touchdowns.
He was a nine-time Pro Bowler.
He is the owner of Super Bakery, Inc. and Parks Sausage Company, which is the first publicly held black-owned business in the United States.
