Why he might be annoying:

He named his oldest son Hosea-Che after an Old Testament prophet and Che Guevara.
He said the SDS should become a 'sabotage and civil disobedience group' to 'destroy the system of repressive institutions.'
He transported dynamite to a secret location by hiding it beneath Hosea-Che in his son's stroller.
After studying at Cambridge for two years, he was expelled from Britain for 'subversive' political activity (1971).
The Baader-Meinhof Gang used the assassination attempt against him as a justification for their terrorism.

Why he might not be annoying:

Because he refused to join the East German army and convinced several of his fellow students to refuse as well, he was banned from attending college there.
He escaped to West Germany the day before the Berlin Wall went up.
He was shot in the head and shoulder by a would-be assassin (April 11, 1968).
He spoke out against the Baader-Meinhof Gang's violence.
He worked with dissidents opposing the Communist governments in East Germany, Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia.
He drowned in the bathtub after suffering an epileptic seizure caused by brain damage sustained in the 1968 shooting.
