He went by the name Bobby Baker during the Tragically Hip's early years.
His long hair and beard make him look grubby.

He was one of the co-founders of The Tragically Hip.
He designed the majority of the band's album covers and logos from various tours.
He stated the band initially began as a way to play music for leisure and not to seek fame.
He founded the Stripper's Union as a way to show off his creative side, which he considers how the Tragically Hip would have sounded if he had creative control.
His son Boris followed in his footsteps and formed his own indie-rock band, Kasador.
