Why he might be annoying:

He began his organized sports career by playing baseball, but gave it up for hockey.
He was traded to the Calgary Flames from the Dallas Stars just months after being drafted.
It took him eight years to help lead the Flames back to the playoffs.
Part of his appeal is that he's one of the few black players in the NHL.
He charges the net very intensely, sometimes causing himself to ram into the goalie hard.
