Why he might be annoying:

His books tend to have exaggeratedly long titles.
He followed the growing trend of writing a Disney expose'.
He has been accused of oversimplifying Ronald Reagan's foreign policy dealings with the Soviets.
He has been accused of misrepresenting President Obama's job performance on numerous occasions.
The Washington Post, specifically, rated his claim that President Obama had attended only 42% of his White House Daily Briefings, with three Pinocchios.
His expose on the Clinton financial dealings, 'Clinton Cash,' generated major controversy in American politics, with many pundits accusing him of inadequate sourcing (Apr. 2015).
He was called on his claims by George Stephanopoulos in an interview, in which he admitted that some of the accusations have little evidence to back them up.
He titled one of his books, 'Makers and Takers: Why conservatives work harder, feel happier, have closer families, take fewer drugs, give more generously, value honesty more, are less materialistic and envious, whine less … and even hug their children more than liberals.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a William J. Casey Research Fellow with the Hoover Institution.
He called out Barbra Streisand and Gloria Steinem on their liberal hypocrisy.
He sent advanced copies of 'Clinton Cash' to investigative reporters for additional scrutiny.
'Throw Them All Out' resulted in the passage of the STOCK Act of 2012, legislation banning insider trading of public stocks.
He publicly criticized the legislation, stating that it didn't go far enough to address equity buys in private companies, land deals, and the trading of IPO shares.
He was a vocal critic of American intervention in Libya, writing a compelling piece asserting that it was the closest equivalent to a modern-day Vietnam.
His advocacy is non-partisan and frequently extends to Republicans, e.g. calling for Mitt Romney to release the names of his SuperPAC donors in the lead-up to the General Election in 2012.
He has been called a Republican propagandist, but he expressed his intention to write a similar expose on Jeb Bush immediately following 'Clinton Cash.'
