Why he might be annoying:

    He blames gun violence on 'hearts without God', and didn't budge on gun rights after notable mass shootings in Texas.
    He signed the 'Chick Fil A' bill, preventing government from penalizing businesses based on religious beliefs/moral convictions.
    As Attorney General of Texas, he filed more lawsuits against the Obama administration than any other state Attorney General.
    He vigorously opposes gay marriage.
    He brags he successfully argued the Appeals Court case which allowed the Ten Commandments to be displayed at the Texas state capital building.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He earned his law degree from Vanderbilt and undergrad degree from University of Texas.
    He was paralyzed from the waist down after a tree fell on him while jogging, leaving him confined to a wheelchair.
    He routinely enjoyed some of the highest home state approval ratings of any US governor.
    He proudly stated he was in charge of the 'tenth largest economy in the world'.
    He was voted 'most likely to succeed' in high school.
