The Resume

    Born in Queens, New York
    Hip-hop duo
Prodigy (November 2, 1974-June 20, 2017),birth name was Albert Johnson
Havoc (May 21, 1974- ), birth name was Kejuan Muchita
Recorded the albums ‘Juvenile Hell’ (1993), ‘The Infamous’ (1995), ‘Hell on Earth’ (1996), ‘Murda Muzik’ (1999), ‘Infamy’ (2001), ‘Amerikaz Nightmare’ (2004), ‘Blood Money’ (2006) and ‘The Infamous Mobb Deep’ (2014)

Why they might be annoying:

Their original name was Poetical Prophets.
During an audition with Def Jam Records, Havoc accidentally shot a label executive.
They booked a show with Capone-N-Noreaga so their crew could beat down N.O.R.E..
They took part in the East Coast-West Coast rap feud.
They broke up for a year (2012-13) after Havoc posted tweets accusing Prodigy of participating in gay sex while in prison.

Why they might not be annoying:

The production on ‘The Infamous,’ emphasizing minor key samples and filtered bass lines, was a major influence on mid-90s New York rap.
Rolling Stone included their single ‘Shook Ones (Part II)’ on its list of the 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time.
They avoided taking the East Coast-West Coast feud too seriously, judging from Havoc’s reaction: ‘I didn’t know what the beef was about. I didn’t even care. I was like, damn, did you hear that? 2Pac dissing us. We about to sell some records.’
